Many incidents in the Life of Swamy Ramanuja were held when his age was being in the multiples of 2 examples

2 x 8 = 16th year – Swami got married & entered gruhasta ashram in (1033 AD)

2 x 9 = 18th year – Swamy accompanied by his guru Yadhava Praksha went to Kasi yatra in (1035 AD)

2 x 16 = 32nd year – Swamy under took Sanyasa ashramam at Kanchi & became “Yathiraja” in (1049 AD)

2 x 32 = 64th year – Swamy won over Yagna moorthy after 18

days debate in (1081 AD),and gave him the title “Arulala perumal Emperumanaarwho gave us Gyana saaram & Prameya saram

2 x 35 = 70th year – Swamy along with Koorthalwan in(1087 A D) and others travelled to Kashmir to get the “Bodhayana Vritti” to author Sri Bashyam

2 x 36 = 72nd year – Swamy Ramanuja blessed us with “Sri

Bashyam”, “Geetha bashyam”,”Vedantha saram”, “Vedantha

Deepam”and “Vedanthasangraham”.& also started his divya desam Yatra in (1089 AD)

2 x 37 = 74th year – Swamy became acharya to “Thirukurungudi Nambi” and named the lord as “Vaishnava Nambi” & established “Ramanuja Matam” there in (1091 AD)

2 x 38 = 76th year – Swamy got his titile as “Bhashyakarar” from Sri Saraswathi Devi (1093 AD )

2 x 40 = 80th year – Swamy Ramanuja leaves Sri Rangam,(1097 A D) due to Kirumi Kanda Chozan and travels to Karnataka(Mel Naadu)

2 x 41 = 82nd year – Swamy Ramanuja with the help of the KingVishnu Vardhan located the moolavar lord Thirunarayanan in the year Bagudhanya (1099 AD) & performed consecration at

Melkote.

2 x 50 = 100th year – Swami Ramanuja with Mudaliandan in the year Helavilambi (1117 A D ) did Pancha Narayana Pratishtai which constitute Keerthi Naryanan, Nambi Narayanan, Veera Narayanan, Sowmya Narayanan & Kesava Naryanan

2x 60 = 120th year – Swamy Ramanuja completed his task inthisBhooloka, and entered the eternal abode Sri Vaikuntam, on the Pingala Year (1137 AD)

ஸ்ரீ பஞ்சாயுத ஸ்தோத்ரம்:

தினமும் இந்த ஸ்தோத்திரத்தைப் பாராயணம் செய்யுங்கள் நண்பர்களே!

திருமாலின் திருக்கரங்களிலுள்ள பஞ்ச ஆயுதங்கள் உங்களுக்குத் தேனான வாழ்வு கிட்டச் செய்யும். திருமாலின் திருவருளும், அதனால் திருமகளின் அருளும் உங்கள் இல்லம் வந்து சேரும்.

குடும்பத்தில் நிம்மதி, சந்தோஷம், உற்சாகம் நிலைக்கும். எதிரிகள் சக்தியிழப்பர்.

1) சுதர்சனம் - சக்கரம்

ஸ்புரத் ஸஹஸ்ரார ஸுகாதி தீவ்ரம்

ஸுதர்ஸநம் பாஸ்கர கோடி துல்யம்மி

ஸுரத்விஷாம் ப்ராணவிநாஸி விஷ்ணோ:

சக்ரம் ஸதாஹம் சரணம் ப்ரபத்யே!

தீச்சுடரைப் போல பல மடங்கு ஒளி விட்டு பிரகாசிப்பதும்,

வல்லமை பொருந்தியதும், 

கோடி சூரியர்களின் கதிர்கள் ஒன்றாகத் திரண்டது போலப் பிரகாசமானதும், அசுரர்களை நாசப்படுத்துவதுமான ஸ்ரீவிஷ்ணு பகவானின் சுதர்சனம் என்னும் சக்கரத்தைப் போற்றி வணங்குகிறேன்.

2) பாஞ்சஜன்யம் - சங்கு

விஷ்ணோர் முகோத்தாநில பூரிதஸ்ய

யஸ்யத்வநிர் தானவ தர்ப்பஹந்தா:

தம் பாஞ்ச ஜன்யம் சசி கோடி சுப்ரம்

சங்கம் ஸதா அஹம் சரணம் ப்ரபத்யே!

மகாவிஷ்ணுவின் பவளச் செவ்வாய் வழியே வெளி வரும் காற்றினால் ஒலி எழுப்பப்படுவதும், தனது கம்பீர ஓசையால்

அசுரர்களுக்கு அச்சத்தைக் கொடுக்கக் கூடியதும், வெண்மை வண்ணத்தில் ஒரு கோடி நிலவுகளின் ஒளிக்கு ஈடானதுமான பாஞ்சஜன்யம் என்ற சங்கை எப்போதும் சரணமடைகிறேன்.

3) கௌமோதகம் - கதை

ஹிரண்மயீம் மேரு ஸமான ஸாரம்

கௌமேதகீம் தைத்ய குலைக ஹந்த்ரீம் வைகுண்ட வாமாக்ரகரா பிம்ருஷ்டாம்

கதாம் ஸதாஹம் சரணம் ப்ரபத்யே

பொன்மயமான மேரு மலையைப் போன்ற ஒளியுள்ளதும், அசுரர்களின் குலத்தையே அழிக்கக் கூடியதும், வைகுண்ட வாசனின் கைநுனிகளின் ஸ்பரிச பாக்யம் பெற்றதான கௌமோதகம் என்ற கதையை சதா சரணமடைகிறேன்.

4) நந்தகம் - வாள்

ரக்ஷோ ஸுராணாம் கடிநோக்ர கண்டச்

சேதக்ஷரச் சோணித திக்ததாரம்

தம் நந்தகம் நாம ஹரே ப்ரதீப்தம்

கட்கம் ஸதாஹம் சரணம் ப்ரபத்யே

கொடிய அரக்கர்களின் கழுத்தைத் துண்டிப்பதால் பிரவாகிக்கும் ரத்தத்தில் மூழ்கி, செந்நிற ஒளியுடன் காட்சி தரும் நந்தகம் எனும் பெயருடைய வீர வாளை என்றும் சரணமடைகிறேன்.

5) சார்ங்கம் - வில்

யஜ்ஜ்யாநீ நாத ஸ்ரவபணாத் ஸுராணாம்

சேதாம்ஸி நிர்முக்த பயாநி ஸத்ய:

பவந்தி தைத்யாஸநி பர்ணவர்ஷ

ஸார்ங்கம் ஸதாஹம் சரணம் ப்ரபத்யே

தேவர்களின் மனதிலிருந்து அச்சத்தைப் போக்குவதும், எதிரிகளை அச்சுறுத்துவதுமான நாணோசை உடையதும், மின்னல் ஒளி வேகத்தில் அம்புகளை மாரியாகப் பொழியக்கூடிய வல்லமை மிக்கதுமான சார்ங்கம் என்னும் வில்லை எப்போதும் சரணமடைகிறேன்.

இமம் ஹரே: பஞ்சமஹாயுதாநாம

ஸ்தவம் படேத் யோ அநுதிநம் ப்ரபாதே

ஸமஸ்தது:காநி பயாநிஸத்ய:

பாபாநி நஸ்யந்தி ஸுகாநி ஸந்தி

உயர்வானவையும் பரந்தாமனின் கரங்களில் இருக்கும் பாக்யத்தைப் பெற்றவையுமான பஞ்ச மகா ஆயுதங்களைப் போற்றும் இந்தத் துதியை தினந்தோறும் படித்து வணங்குபவர்களும் அதைக் கேட்பவர்களும் எல்லா துன்பங்களிலிருந்தும் விடுபட்டு சகல பாக்யங்களையும் அடைகின்றனர்.

வநேரணே சத்ரு ஜலாக்நிமத்யே

யத்ருச்சயா பத்ஸு மஹாபயேஸுமி

இதம் படன் ஸ்தோத்ர நாகுலாத்மா

ஸுகிபவேத் தத்க்ருத ஸர்வரக்ஷ:

வனங்களிலும் யுத்த யூமியில் சத்ருக்களின் மத்தியிலும், எதிர்பாரா விபத்துகளின் போதும், அதீத பயத்தின் போதும் இந்தத் துதியைச் சொன்னாலும் படித்தாலும் ஆபத்துகளிலிருந்து விடுபட்டு சகல நன்மைகளையும் அடைவர்.

DNA and Mathematics in Sri Rudram

Mathematics is a part of our daily life in several ways. Hence, it is no wonder that it has come to occupy an important place in religious rituals also. This is what we find particularly in the Hindu way of life or the Hindu religion.

In the Chamakam, in anuvakas or sections 1 to10, the devotee prays for almost everything needed for human happiness and specifies each item.

But in the 11th anuvaka or 11th section of Chamakam, the devotee prays for the desired things not specifically but in terms of numbers, first in terms of odd numbers from 1 to 33 and later in multiples of 4 from 4 to 48, as follows:

“Eka cha me, 

thisrascha may, 

pancha cha may, 

sapta cha may, 

Ekadasa cha may, 

trayodasa cha may, 

panchadasa cha may, 

saptadasa cha may, 

Navadasa cha may, 

ek trimshatis cha may, 

trayovimshatis cha may, 

Panchavimshatis cha may, 

saptavimshatis cha may, 

navavimshatis cha may, 

Ekatrimshatis cha may, 

trayatrimshatis cha may, 

panchatrimshatis cha may, 

Chatasras cha may, 

ashtou cha may, 

dwadasa cha may, 

shodasa cha may, 

Vimsatis cha may, 

chaturvimshatis cha may, 

ashtavimshatis cha may, 

Dwathrimashatis cha may, 

Shatstrimshas cha may,

ashtachatvarimshas cha may” which means:

“Let these be granted to me. One, three, five, seven, nine, eleven, thirteen, seventeen, nineteen, twenty one, twenty three, twenty five, twenty seven, twenty nine, thirty one and thirty three as also four, eight, twelve, sixteen, twenty, twenty four, twenty eight, thirty two, thirty six, forty, forty four and forty eight”.

Traditional scholars and Pandits explain the significance of these numbers as follows:

ODD NUMBERS:

1 = Nature or Prakriti

3 = The three gunas, namely sattwa, rajas and tamas

5 = The five mahabhutas, or the five basic elements, that is, prithvi, ap, tejas, vayu and akasha, (earth, water, energy or agni or fire, wind and space).

7 = The five sensory organs and the mind and intellect

9 = The nine openings in the human body, called the navadwaras.

11 = The ten pranas and the Sushumna nadi

13 = Thirteen Devas

15 = The nadis or nerve centres in the human body

17 = The limbs of the human body

19 = Medicinal herbs

21 = Important vulnerable parts of the body

23 = Devas controlling serious diseases

25 = Apsaras in heaven

27 = Gandharvas

29 = Vidyut Devas

31 = Worlds

33 = Devas

MULTIPLES OF FOUR:

4 = The four ideals of human life, namely dharma, artha, kama and moksha,

(righteous way of life, wealth, desire, and salvation)

8 = The four Vedas and the four upavedas

12 = Six vedangas and six shastras.

16 = Knowledge to be obtained from God

20 = The Mahabhutas

24 = The number of letters in the Gayatri mantra.

28 = The number of letters in the Ushnik mantra.

32 = The number of letters in the Anushtup mantra.

36 = The number of letters in the Brihati mantra.

40 = The number of letters in the Pankti mantra.

44 = The number of letters in the Trushtup mantra

48 = The number of letters in the Jagati mantra

According to Dr Sasidharan, these numbers represent a polymer chain of molecules that form apa or water that enables evolution of life and intelligence, and apa is nothing but the nitrogenous base pairs of the DNA.

The numbers 1 to 33 represent the 33000 base pairs of mitochondrial base pairs of DNA.

The numbers 4 to 48 represent the 48 million nuclear bases of DNA.

The two sets of DNA bases combine to provide sustenance of human well being and onward evolution of human life.

When the devotee prays for the blessing of these numbers, actually he is praying for bestowing on him all these DNA bases which conduce to sustenance of human well being.
